About this title in Hebrew

She is doing fine. Or maybe not. She has a husband, a daughter, a job, a cancer that recently hit her and still lurks every six months during the CT test, and a psychologist who tries to help her make her way through the endless anxieties that surround her life. And then it happens. The psychologist goes off to Switzerland to be with his ailing wife. At work they decide to let her go. The void fills with letters which will never be sent, to the absent psychologist, but in turn become a shaking, absorbing, incredibly funny diary-novel, that gives us a sort of X-ray - a CT rather - of one of the most touching literary heroines in new Hebrew prose.

Tamar Galbetz was born in 1957 and started to work as a journalist in the eighties. Her writing has always been witty with a special, assertive outlook. She edited weekend and culture magazines and wrote TV reviews. She also wrote for TV series.

"The best book of the year... a very funny book... this is an exceptionally cruel self exposure. Simple, absolute truth, confessional, no holds barred."

Zman Tel Aviv

"A funny, shaking and brilliant voyage into the endless turbulence of loops that goes through the human mind... Gelbetz has created a frighteningly convoluted stream of consciousness, where all the small insanities of the modern world are exposed."

Ha'ir

"If God is indeed in the details, then the Divine Presence resides with Tamar Gelbetz... a throbbing book."

Yedioth Ahronoth
